GENERAL ELIGIBILITY
1. Open to all Rotary, Rotaract, and Interact Clubs in District 9216 in good standing (RI, District and Country dues are up to date and no ethical issues).
2. Entries are quarterly and the first set cover July 1, 2026 to September 30, 2026.
3. Submissions via Google Form shared in Whatsapp groups.
4. Clubs can submit maximum of two entries per category.
5. Stories can be in form of photos, short videos or articles published on the clubs’ or District 9216 platforms.
Rotary District 9216 has rolled out storytelling awards for the year 2026/27. The awards are quarterly, starting from July 1, 2026. Entries are now open for the July to September quarter. The theme of the awards is: Tell Our Story. Grow Our Impact. 

There are three categories of entries:
Best Storyteller
Best Visual Design and Brand Ambassador
Outstanding Social Media Public Image Campaign

1. BEST STORYTELLER
Objective: Recognize clubs that best tell impactful, emotional, and authentic stories of service and celebrating the best human-centred stories.
 
Submission Requirements
- Story title, club name, author, date
- Written story: 300-500 words + 3-5 high-res photos
- Video: MP4, under 90MB, with subtitles
- Must answer: What was the problem? What did the club do? What changed?
 
Judging Criteria (100 Points)
- Call to Action / Inspire Others (30 pts): Does the story motivate the audience to join the cause or Rotary, donate or act?
- Rotary Relevance & Impact (25 pts): How clearly does it show Rotary’s seven Areas of Focus and real community change? Is it People of Action?
- Emotional Connection and Authenticity (15 pts): Does the story have a face, name, quote? Does it move the reader?
- Narrative Quality & Structure (15 pts): Clear beginning, middle, end. Good grammar, flow, and storytelling technique.
- Visual Support (15 pts): Quality photos/video that support the story, not staged stock images.
 
2. BEST BRANDING AND GRAPHIC DESIGN
Objective: Recognize outstanding visual communication that upholds Rotary’s brand voice and celebrating creativity, consistency and brand excellence.
 
Submission Requirements
- Proper Club, District, partner logo design and placement
- Best Event or campaign poster
- Best newsletter or magazine design
- Best Merchandise design
- PDF or JPG, high-res (min 1080x1350px)
- Include original source file screenshot and final use case (e.g., where it was posted)
- Submit a link with portfolio of posters published during the month
- Call to Action / Inspire Others (30 pts): Does the story motivate the audience to join the cause or Rotary, donate or act?
- Visuals submitted must have been published during the quarter
- Brief 100-word rationale
 
Judging Criteria (100 Points)
- Brand Compliance (30 pts): Correct use of Rotary Masterbrand, fonts (Frutiger / Open Sans), colors, logo lockup. No distortion of wheel.
- Creativity & Originality (25 pts): Unique concept, modern, memorable.
- Clarity & Communication (20 pts): Message is clear. Readable, legible fonts.
- Aesthetic & Professional Finish (15 pts): Alignment, spacing, color balance, print-ready quality.
- Versatility & Impact (10 pts): Design worked across platforms (print, WhatsApp, social)
- Bonus 5 pts: Use of District 9216 theme visuals consistently.
 
SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGN
Objective: Reward clubs that used social media strategically to grow public image and membership. Awards seeks to celebrate strategic, consistent and engaging digital presence.
 
Submission Requirements
- Overall Club Social Media Presence on most platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok)
- Submit all the posts published from start to end of a particular campaign. Alternatively, clubs can submit any outstanding fliers published during the quarter.
- Screenshot of insights (Reach, Engagement, Growth during the quarter)
- 150-word campaign summary: Objective, Audience, Execution
 
Judging Criteria (100 Points)
- Strategy & Consistency (20 pts): Did the campaign have a clear goal? Posting consistently (min once a week)
- Content Quality & Creativity (20 pts): Mix of formats - reels, carousels, lives.
- Original photos/videos, not just reposts. Strong captions.
- Engagement (30 pts): Likes, comments, shares, but also replies to comments, community interaction. Did they build conversation?
- Measurable Results & Impact (30 pts): Growth in followers, inquiries for membership, funds raised, press picked up. Show analytics.
